Since our launch in December 2016, we have helped over 4,000 cats and kittens throughout South Carolina and Georgia their furrever homes! On average, we have 1 cat adopted from our cafes every day.

​By housing adoptable cats at a cozy cafe in the middle of the city, we significantly increase shelter cats' visibility and their chances for being adopted!

Pounce helps shelter cats by getting them out of cages and into a friendly, loving, and comfortable space to be adopted. Our rescue cats live at Pounce until they find their furrever homes, and they are never caged or crated.

We believe cats are curious, active animals that need plenty of room to play, roam and socialize. We are so grateful to be able to provide such an enriching and loving temporary home for them.

Pounce typically houses between 15-20 cats at any given time, which means that there are significantly less cats at the shelter in need of care.

Because of this, our partner shelters (Charleston Animal Society and The Humane Society for Greater Savannah) are able to dedicate more time, resources, and volunteers to saving more cats, dogs, and other animals in need from across South Carolina, Georgia, and the entire Southeast.
